A few months ago, a video went viral of a boy playing Super Mario Bros. in the middle of Central Park using augmented reality and the HoloLens.

Since then, we’ve been clamoring to play the real-life version of the classic game. While the original creator has not specified any plans to release his HoloLens version of the game, a new developer has stepped up and created a demo of an augmented reality Super Mario Bros using Apple’s ARKit.

The demo was posted by YouTube user Bjarne Lundgren. It’s setup similarly to the HoloLens Super Mario Bros but takes place indoors rather than outdoors. Still… more
